 So I checked the Kickstarter page and the website, but nothing answers the question, “What is it?”
Can you explain in simple terms what this product is used for?
:question:You know how when you see a promoted ad, with comments open, ya just gotta open them up bc no matter what, it’s gonna be good. I didn’t get past the companies OP formally replying to you.
Hello Fartypants69,
YOU have just made my gd afternoon! Stay awesome!
 Lol! Glad to be of service

:a: Hi, FartyPants69 Thanks for your feedback. Let me explain for you.
Rimu is a esp32s3 based proeject, it consists of a main unit(host) and various extensions(modules). By combining the main unit with different extensions(modules), a wide range of functions can be achieved. For example, the current measurement application was realized by connecting the main unit(host) with a current measurement extension. Thanks to the touch LCD screen on the main unit, human-computer interaction is made much easier.
Kind regards
 I think it might help to present some use cases for your product on your page. What scenarios would they work in and why would people want to use your product for it? Some people may find it self evident but you’ll reach a lot more customers telling them how it can solve pain points, substitute different tools, etc.
:a: Thanks for your suggestion. We are working on it now. We post a full article on Medium. Please have a look. medium
 Interesting, thanks!
Does connecting the extension make the touchscreen functionality happen automatically, or does the user need to program it?
:a: All modules with a I2C address, the host can be detected by different modules, and do not need to program for simple use. But the code will open soucre. Anyone can change it.

 Still don’t know what it does
:a: Thank you for interesting.

It is difficult to explain it in one or two sentences. Please take a look at this article. We will improve the information presented later.

 It’s a box that goes somewhere. It does lots of different things. I get that much. But what is it?
:a: It’s hard to explain this clearly in this comment. I have an article, if you are interested, please move it over and take a look.

 Hi OP, What problem does it solve ?
:a: Thanks for the comments. Ammeter is one of its many functions. By switching different modules, other functions can be realized. I’m sure not everyone needs the ammeter.
The HID keyboard is coming.

 Poor design , why I choose this crap other than an Arduino kit, please don’t scam ppl with such EVB + fancy accessories, you don’t open any cpu data sheet , hw+sw dev specific, how do the ppl trust you to put money in this project, even worse most EVB design studio in Asia, they provide turnkey solution.
:a: Thanks for your feedback. We also use and love Arduino as well.
We promise that all the information/design will be open source before going live, but it is not yet fully completed.
We take this project very seriously. Some people may cheat others, and some may think that others are scammers. BUT WE ARE NOT.

Please allow me to put the pre-launch link here. I am not sure if people who see this post can easily find the pre-launch link.
